Just last night, I saw a show on the Travel Channel about Prague.  I'm here to tell you what if Olivia wasn't going to offer the extension, I'd go there anyway.  I'm delighted.  I'd also already planned to go to Budapest a few days early, so this is great news on both ends.  When will information about both add-ons be available?

I'm taking the second Danube cruise, and I can hardly wait.

And now I'll remember to check both Danube cruise groups for news!

Thanks for the update!

Patty

Looking forward to the Danube trip next year.  We were originally booked on the first trip, but changed it to the second week so we could go with some friends.  Thanks for the info on the pre and post extensions.  We usually book our air a year out to use our frequent traveler points and have to guess on when to book.

The weather sure was varied when I was there on July 28 Aug. 5.

Nuremberg was very cold!  We found ourselves in sweatshirts and had a day of rain as well. As we ventured on the Danube, the weather did warm up, but prepare yourself for either rain, hot or cold! Of course, when we did the Amsterdam inspection, it was very cold, then the actual trip was as warm as could be, so don't listen to me :-)

The warmest of all was Budapest. And, my favorite city of all was also Budapest (and Regensberg . . .oh yes, and Vienna as well). We are going to be offering a 3 day extensions in Prague and 3 day extensions in Budapest for BOTH trips, so if doing your air, be sure to allow for this!  There is just not enough time to really experience all that Budapest has to offer if you go home on the final day of the cruise. Really!  And Prague - it is a wonderful city!  3 days there is perfect!

One year away!! This time next year we'll be on the Danube!

I've been checking temperatures this week & it looks great, a wee bit warm but hey, we'll be on the water. Pack light everyone!

Here's the daily high temperature ranges for this week:

Nuremberg: 72 to 79

Vienna: 69 to 82

Budapest: 77 to 88

Night time lows range from 70 to 82.
