i'm also going solo. i'm worried about the room being shared. you can call closer to the departure date and they can tell you the person you are rooming with. i'm just looking for someone honest and that just wants to have fun. that's why i'm going, i need to get away and let my hair down and have some fun.

We are looking forward to this trip which is our first Olivia travel experience and will be our honeymoon as we will be "Civil Unionized" in New Jersey on Oct 18. We've heard so many wonderful things about Olivia and we're looking forward to experiencing it for ourselves.

We are flying out of Philly and just booked our flight in light of all the present and possible future airline changes.

Hi all, getting more excited everyday! Becky and I have been on two Olivia cruises and this will be our first Olivia resort experience. I love that this is a comedy themed vacation. We look forward to meeting so many of you. Becky's the quiet one and I'm the entertaining one...or so they say. I heard that for snorkeling or scuba diving there is a boat that leaves twice a day? Does anyone have experience with this?

wow, sounds like your group of friends is just growing and growing!  Fun is all I can imagine.  I am thinking of going but it would be a solo trip for me as the woman I am dating can't go.  I am not one to travel alone and I don't really like the idea of being paired up in the rooms............but my ex and her new partner will be there.  We get along very well but not sure they would want me to be there, too.  Hummm.....I am at a cross roads......I guess if the urge is strong enough I might go.  If I don't, have a wonderful time!!  My ex of 3 years & I went to Punta Cuna in 2005 and the atmosphere/beaches were very nice.  But I heard that Turks/Caicos was the best resort location and had beautiful beaches!!

 This will be our third trip with Olivia.  Our last trip was the Alaska cruise in September of 2007.  Though nice... I definitely prefer the resorts.  We went to Columbus Isle in Dec 2006 and loved it!!!! There was  a lot to do and you could take your time and enjoy all the scenery unlike the cruise where you have a limited time in each port.

Also Lisa and I have traveled to Turks and Caicos prior to knowing about Olivia. The islands are very welcoming to gay and lesbians.  If you are a diver, the diving is fantastic with visibility of 80- 100+ feet every day and water temperatures in the 80's in November. I highly recommend Caicos Adventures to dive with, they are fantastic.  The dive master took us to many sites where we saw plenty of eagle rays, sting rays, reef sharks, baracuda and incredible coral.  You had the option to dive on your own if you are experienced diver or you could dive with a guide.  I highly recommend diving with one of the guides if you have never dove the Turks before, they will show you everything.

The lobster is AWSOME and there are several restaraunts on Provo to get a great lobster.

The beaches are prestine, white and very soft almost like walking on baby powder.
Snorkeling is great at Grace bay, lots of turtles.

We are so excited to return, we are staying two weeks!!!

At last count our group for Turks Resort I is now just over 60!  Women from all walks of life and from throughout the country.  Looking forward to an amazing time, lots of laughs and meeting new friends!  Less than a year to go...

Also booked a year in advance, going with a group of friends but im flying solo (at least for now)  as for your question.... i sure hope there is a good percentage of singles, this is my first olivia vac.  alittle nervious about the shared room thing, do you know they match you up and when you find out who it is?

Finally found this group after searching around a little. We are Lynn and Marg from Toronto. This will be our 3rd Olivia trip and we are very excited about it. Our 1st one was Costa Rica in 2006 and the fabulous African Safari last Dec. As others have said...you won't be disappointed if it is your 1st time. We had hesitated over the cost but believe me those extra $$ are more than worth it. The Olivia staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is as you wish. Then there is the company of many wonderful women. We have met some terrific women that really made for a great holiday. We are going with 5 friends - 3 from here in Toronto and our Brit friends that we met last year on safari.

It does seem like an awfully long way away though!
