Since my last post , I got a golden job that appreciate all the work I do and give me the leverage to do so too.  I must admit that sometime it takes time, but I finally got the Sweet deal now too.  Best of all is that I did not have to change employer, just a new department that understood the need for good competent and assertive person.

Cheers,

Nicole

I spent a career being frustrated by the same things you describe.  About 12 years ago I became an independent consultant.  Now my clients can take my advice or not, either way I bill them for it.  Living well is the best revenge!

I find sometimes very frustrating.  You may suggest an idea and it gets voted down, then a little while later down the road some resurect that idea and gets overwelming approval.  I don't how many times I have told my work place to subnet and to streamline the system.  They said that it was not appropriate at the time that I brought it out.....Go figure

So, we all work in a male dominated industry. Just wondering what our perspectives on that are? How do we deal with this on a day to day basis?
