Hi Susan,

We are watching and reading and trying to predict what may happen in November.

From what we can tell it looks like it may be a close vote but we feel that it may go through. 

For now, couples in California can marry. 

I agree with you, I'm surprised that more people have not jumped into this discussion.

Hi Julie,

Hard to believe no one has chimed in on this one. I am excited about what is happening in your state. I am also keeping an eye on Mass. and the possibility of couples from other states getting married there. My partner (of 7 yrs.) and I have family in New England and would love to have a ceremony. Here in Colorado the domestic partner bill voted on a couple of years ago was something like 40% for, 60% opposed. So we've got a bit of a way to go.

Regarding national politics, I'm not sure what Obama will actually do once in office. But let's hope this wave towards change will sweep same-sex couples along with it.

My name is Julie Phineas and I live in Southern California with my Domestic Partner Gina and our two children. We are also planning on having another child within the next few years. I just wanted to reach out to the other lesbian couples in this group and say hey! I hope that everyone is doing well out there. The elections are coming up and I am nervous about the future of same sex marriage. I would like to know which Presidential candidate do you think is most likely to support change in the White House that would lead to same sex marriage? I know this is a touchy subject but I would like to know what other lesbian couples are leaning towards. Thanks in advance for any insights or advice on this and I look forward to meeting other group members as well.
