Hi Purplehayes,

That was some good information you provided. This will be my second Olivia cruise, but my first time going solo. I just made my reservation today but already getting excited about being on another Olivia cruise! They sure talk up the solo program so it's good to hear from people who have experienced it first hand. See you there!

This will be my second Olivia!  My first was just a few weeks ago, the Cruise for Our Cause.

It was incredible!  And I have to say, I think what made it incredible was that I went Solo.  I'm 25, and had no doubts about going alone.  I knew it would be ok.  And it was.  You won't be solo very long.  There are plenty of "solo" activities from the moment you start your trip.  This helps you meet other solos, and you make friends.  It's a truly empowering experience going alone.  I loved it.   The vibe on an Olivia trip is so beautiful, and it's so easy to meet people, if that's what you're open to.  (If you want to be alone for a week, to just be, that's also possible!)  And being "solo" does not necessarily mean you are single.  Not every Solo is looking to hook up, though for some reason, it seems like most are.  But I managed to befriend a great group of solos who also left their partner at home.  There is a little something for everyone, and you'll find what you're looking for, whatever that may be.   I'm going Solo again!

 See you on the boat...

Hi to all,

This will be my third Olivia trip, but this time I will be solo. I look forward to meeting other ladies and enjoying the fun that is associated with Oliva. Let's keep in touch as we count down the time to sail.

Hello  to you, Bev..... this is Mary greeting you from Nanaimo.  I will be giving you a hug when we meet again!!!  I did love Alaska when I cruised with Olivia.... but also, renting the motorhome for a week on the mainland was just the icing on the cake.  Myself and 2 other girlfriends toured a thousand miles thru your state and just loved the experience.

Find me onboard, okay.... Cheers, Mary

Hi Deja & Janet and to all the rest of you gals..... yes, I am coming on this trip too!!!  What number is it??? Maybe my 6th to 7th holiday with Olivia.  There is nothing like being in the company of women and I assure all you newbies that you do not need to feel anxious.... couples and solos and the staff of Olivia make you feel so comfortable.  I look forward to seeing familiar faces and to meet those of you who are 1st timers....

Cheers, Mary from Nanaimo, B.C. Canada(55years young).

Hi there, I am going solo and it'll be my first cruise.  I've always wanted to go and decided not to put it off any longer even though I'm single.  I've traveled in Finland and Sweden and to Seattle by myself and I think this trip is going to be the best of all!

Hi Ladies...... I just wrote some words on the first topic on this page about going solo.  You will be made to feel so welcome by both the staff and the other guests.  No doubt you will be saving for future trips.

Cheers, Mary @ 55 years.... from Nanaimo, B.C.

Hey all, I'm thinking of going on this cruise and I'm going on my own.  I'm 26 and from Australia and it will mark the end of a month of backpacking through out the states before I start work in a ski resort.

All the posts so far seem to be from couples.  Has anyone done one of these alone or is planning to this time?  I'm pretty happy travelling on my own, but if I could have a chat to anyone first, or at least get an idea of what to expect, that would be fab!
