I've just been on a holiday to far North Qld and had to fly into Cairns on route to my destination.  I've taken some photos from the plane of the Barrier reef off Cairns and coming into Cairns airport.  Thought I'd share with those coming on the Adventure Down Under as you'll be staying in Cairns and visting the reef.

Thought I'd also include a photo of my mate and I at the northernmost point of Australia which is about 1000KMs north of Cairns.  I spent my holiday in Weipa which is a mining town on the West coast of Cape York (1.5hr flight Nth of Cairns)  We took a day trip flying up to the tip in a light plane then a 30min 4WD ride to the "Tip" as Australian's call it.  Sensational....
