NaNo (National Novel Writing Month) is only a few days away and I haven't made it all the way to the 50k word goal since the first year I gave it a try.
So 1 in 5 isn't too bad, right?
I really want to make it to the finish line this year, and even more, this year I want to write something worth finishing.
I have an epic planned, literally.
It was bought (by a publishing house which shall not be named) and I even had my first advance, until the editor turned around and decided my book should be a series with a list of major changes. (:sigh:).
The project itself, which had consumed five years of my life is now on hiatus indefinitely. I'm so discouraged that I just need to write something else.
The problem is that I ate slept and breathed that story for so long I can't really find myself inspired to write something unrelated to it.
I'll sit down and start writing and what ends up coming out is a flood of dialog between my main character and other supporting characters - but it's garbage and doesn't flow.
Meh.
So it's time to start, and writing is the next great adventure that you haven't written yet. The question simply remains, what about?
I have no plot now and thats a problem!
Oh.. and hi, I'm Kit.
