IT takes a little bit of time; i had the same issue when i moved to DC. First year was rough but then I met friends at odd places like work, neigborhood, etc.. i guess it take alot of courage too -because trust is an issue for most. You kind of have to be outgoing even if it kills ya :) .. sucks but works. Gym, doggie parks, even 'yea i know" a church.

You are not alone! You will be found. It takes courage,strength and a sense of pride about ourselves, will eventually attract people to us. We all have a glow about us that make a people say hello. Hang in there! Take your time and learn your surroundings. By the time you get this you would have probably said hello to 20 lesbians in the community. I remember when I first moved to this remote state, it took awhile to find a friend; let alone become part of the community. So just keep smiling, and remember, you are not alone! Sparkle

I just moved to a new place and i am having trouble finding friends let alone lesbians in my community. Just looking to talk, learn and grow. any replys and commints are helpful
