I want a friendship network like on The L Word.  I loved when Tina was PG and scared and Bette was away, how everybody came over and slept at their house with Tina.  How cool would that be to have a bunch of gals to call on if in need, and to feel that any of them would call on you the same. 

 The problem in my town is that there are too many enemies from broken relationships past.  So-and-so won't go to a gathering if such-and-such is going to be there.  How do we get past all that?  I think we need to start having forgiveness and letting go workshops where we explore the importance of giving up grudges and getting along.  Our communities are too small for all that old negative energy.  It would be neat if there were volunteers in communities that would work with people who have problems with each other (like those neighbor-to-neighbor mediators that a lot of cities have).

Other than that, Lavender Womyn is a social networking "club" that has been started in Oregon and is branching to other areas.  I think their web site has helpful info about starting chapter in other areas. Maybe you'd want to do that.

My girlfriend and I don't have many gay friends, and we desperately want them. Straight, gay-accepting people make wonderful companions, but I think it's important to have people in your circle who really understand you.

I agree that it's hard to make friends, and make lasting connections with people, lesbians included.

Our only lesbian friends just happen to be our neighbors. I haven't had any other luck connecting with other lesbians. I, too, would like to know what other people are doing!

Would you agree that In life it is difficult enough trying to connect with others....but as lesbians...we sometimes find it hard to find other lesbians to connect with.....

As a couple Tareasea and I are grateful for Olivia. Olivia has really expanded our ability to connect with other lesbians in our community and elsewhere....

We're always interested in connecting with others, networking and just being a support to each other whether we live close by or further away.
