I was a massage therapist for 10 years and the best way to keep from getting burned out is to take care of yourself; keep yourself in great shape and nutritionally sound. Referrals will always be your best source of new clients, but your ability to market/network yourself will determine how long you last in the profession. Best of Luck!

wow! 14 years that's a long time. I have been doing massage full time for 3 years now and already feel the burnout - on my body and mind! What tips can you give a newbie to keep from getting burned out? I work in a spa part time and then privately part time. I want to move more of my practice to private clients, but am having a hard time building my clientelle. Any tips on marketing? I mainly go by referrals now and do offer a referral incentive. Thanks!
