I thought I'd kick up a little discussion here about our daily challenges as parents. What are the most difficult family matters you find yourself dealing with day to day? Family-work balance? Financial security? Medical issues? Child behavior? Prejudice in your community? Relationship concerns? Etc., etc.
Right now, for me, it's the challenge of living apart from my partner during the week, and caring for our three-year-old son on my own. We're in the midst of selling our current home and moving, but until we do, my partner is working--and living--out of state on weekdays. I have a much greater appreciation for single moms. This challenge will soon translate into the ones associated with moving to a new area, finding doctors, dentists, vets, and other professionals, not to mention preschool and additional activities. At least we'll all be together as a family again, though, and it's that light at the end of the tunnel that's getting me through.
