I had 3 cats, Tonic passed away at 2 years old October 2010 it was horrible, but when he was around he would meow in a demanding way for me to turn on the bathroom sink so he could have a drink. he would never drink from his water bowl and sometimes he would turn it on himself.

Now that he is gone his biological sister Gin will meow as if she has to tell me something, soemtimes we have a conversation its weird out of no where she will start moewing at me and I will automatically respond back with "I know hun" or tell her "no we can't"  my boy Indigo he will chirp just because he is happy not because he wants to tell me something I swear he has an imaginary friend because when he is meowing it's never in my direction.

Tonic was a domestic orange/white cat, Gin calico domestic, Indigo there is debate he could be bangal orange tabby or equitau mau orange tabby.

edit - when I press reply it went to the topic of the page not my intention

I've had some experience with animal communicators and have been reading about animal communication and trying it out with our cats.

Is anyone else trying to communicate with their animals?  They are able to read our thoughts and they send their thoughts to us.  You have to clear your mind, like in meditation, to be able to do it.  I know it sounds wild, but I believe it works.

"I think that after you live with cats for so long you really start to understand what they are saying."

What's even more scary is that they get to understand what YOU are saying! I'd swear that Chloe can even spell 'cause when we spell out words, e.g."get her ready for the car" she's gone into hiding in an unreachable spot.!

I have five cats and all of them are very vocal. One wakes us up in the middle of the night for cat treats every night. One of my cats is a Siamese; therefore she knows all the curse words in the kitty language. I think that after you live with cats for so long you really start to understand what they are saying.

i am sooo sure that my 11 yr old 'man of the house' was an efficiency expert in a former life! everyday when i come home he allows me to put away my work items then follows me around the house until i decide to sit down then paws at me repeatedly and cries. that is my signal to follow him and he takes me to where the food and 'restroom' area is and sits with his back to me as if to say.." ok you tell me what is wrong with this picture". i must cater to the food bowls, even if to just stir the food around a bit, and make sure to carefully inspect the 'restroom' area for any items that need to be removed. he has done this faithfully everyday of his life and i think sometimes he feels that i havent learned how to attend to these chores without his daily reminder.Sleep

My cat Sharky has a few different vocalizations. You can clearly tell when he's just complaining about something. Other times, if I've gone to bed without consulting him first, he does this 'im a lost kitten and need my mommy' thing. He's a year old but he still acts like a kitten at night. Soon as he's snuggled up though, in comes Cheza. She's usually only vocal when she's telling me that if I'm eating something that smells good, then I MUST share it. My third cat, Panyc, isnt usually vocal, in fact, I think I've only heard her a couple times. But she usually strolls in and joins the other two in a "im too cool to cuddle with you, I'm just hear 'cuz you have a blanket" attitude. Cool

Does your cat talk, cry, squeal, whine or meow incessantly?  I have one that does.  Do you ever imagine what s/he is saying?
