Who is getting excited for this trip besides me? :-) I am preparing a Pre-Departure book for all of you to have in the next 4 weeks. It will review what to bring and other fun and important information to help you prepare for the trip. You DO need to have waterproof boots that come just below the knee for wet landings on shore. I suggest Muck boots, but you can find other less expensive alternatives as well. Just make sure they can be rinsed off easily and are comfortable to hike in as you will be trekking through mud on shore. Also, for wet landings, you need them high enough (just below the knee) so that your feet do not get wet.
While on the ship, I like having a pair of Uggs to quickly put on when we hear the Expedition leader tell us there are whales on the port side! :-). They keep your feet toasty warm, and are pretty light to wear or to pack.
More tips to come in the materials!
