We've done both types of excursions and wanted to keep it to a smaller group -- it's kind of nice to get a break from the party for a couple of hours!  We've got room for three more, if you're interested.

Maybe it would be fun to have 20 people and the lower rate and have a bigger party. In Belize we chartered a boat with 30 people for a day of snorkeling and beach and it was great fun.

When El Tranquillo is doing a general tour with their usual 22 passsengers (variety of cruisers, tourists, visitors, etc.), that is their charge.  We reserved the ship for the day for our small group and the fee is higher for a charter.

I checked out the website and it says that the Southside tour is $75.00. So if that is the advertised price any idea why they quoted you $100?

These private charters are great, but there is a trade-off in price.  Unfortunately, it is a more expensive than a cruise excursion but it's a 5-hour gig, a one-hour sail to/from snorkeling in a remote location and lunch with a small group. If we have more than a dozen passengers, it might drop a little, but isn't going to come near the $60 they are charging through HAL for their larger group excursions.  I'm sorry!

We are interested but even at $100 a piece it is much higher than the snorkel/sail excursons offered by the cruise ship. Will the price go down if more women sign up???

Me, again!  We really hope to makes this trip happen but have had zero/zip/zilch response.  If you are interested in going on this private snorkel excursion with only a dozen women, we will ask for $100 per person and absorb The rest.  Tipping is optional, of course.  Lunch, open bar, and snorkel equipment are provided by this well-reviewed company (El Tranquilo) and we will be a private group of 10-12 on a boat that holds up to 20.  It's going to be great!  Let me know if you are interested.
