Sled, I remember at Cancun I wasn't quite sure I would know who everyone was.  May not have know 'who everyone was', but knew we were all Olivia ladies.

The resort is small, compared to some of the resorts I have been to.  The Sun Bar, aka the Lounge Bar, which is where the dancing take place, unless they have changed that,but doubt it, is only steps away.  The Sun Bar is upstairs and The Market is just below and off to the side a bit.  Usually, The Market, is the main eating area in general.   You can either take the inside stairs off the lobby inside, or you can go outside and use the stairs of the ramp down an d around to The Market. 

Everything is super easy to get to, takes only a few minutes to get from one end of the resort to the other, very nice, no skateboard needed!!

So it looks like the 'central area' might be the Sun Bar and The Market for dinner.  How far is it from say the Sun Bar and The Market, to Freda's?

to get started here's a map of the resort...the restaurant names have changed...but the Triton Bar stayed the same

don't know what else has changed since we were there last year...but the basic layout should be the same
