Hey gals! We buy our larger bottled liquor in Ft. Laud the day before, when we arrive and pack it in our luggage in bubblewrap. Always made it to the room unharmed. Also bought my own Diet Mt. Dew by the case & sent it with my luggage tag cause the ships only had COKE products! so if you're like me & enjoy  Pepsi products, its best to bring your own! You'll be glad u did!  (Gotta have my Dew chaser with my Jack w/Tennessee Honey!)

Sleddog,

Thanks for all the tips!  Those drink prices can really add up, so knowing I can bring a bottle or two of wine on board is comforting.  Did you pack the water bottles in the same wine box?

@cindy29…yes the ship tap water is drinkable…but my GF likes to fill her bottle up from the drinking fountain in the gym…or you can bring on your own bottled water or buy bottled water from the ship.

And as far as bringing on hard alcohol…many have gotten it on…but also some have had it taken away when their luggage was selected to be searched…all depends on you own comfort level…I know I have my own ways! Wink

@RhondaSquared…we just always make sure our stuff is well packed and marked with a room luggage tag…we use either a cardboard wine box or a boat bag…then we hand it off to the porter (with a nice tip!) at the port…it always arrives safely to our cabin!
A good place to buy wine near the port is Total Wine http://www.totalwine.com/eng/storeLocator/redirect.cfm?sectionID=b2c/storeLocator/storeDetails.cfm&storeid=1&locationId=17771
Did you mention a toast on the boat…will gladly do that with you at the sail-away party…we need to toast your honeymoon!!! Big Smile

Hi Sleddog,

As a first time trip I wanted to better understand how you brought your champagne and wine onto the boat. Do you pack it in a wine box and just load it on the boat with your luggage with your room information?

We will purchase some items in Ft Lauderdale but want to assure we present it correctly for our boarding.

Your advice is greatly apprecaited and will be toasted on the boat! :)

Warmly,

Rhonda

Thanks for the info sleddog. Is the water on the ship out of the taps drinkable? Or is it better to drink the bottled water?

The only alcohol allowed is wine and you can bring as much as you can haul, same goes so soda ( pop), water. You have to bring it aboard

First cruise and Olivia trip. What can we bring on the ship? I've seen reference to people dragging on coolers with pop and water. Can any alcohol be brought on board? Also, how much is beer, pop or alcohol on a cruise?
