A water bottle purifier and two fly swatters, one for each hand. Thank you for this information ladies, I'm sure it'll be handy!! Lol

LMAO! U bring the fly swatters and I'll bring the bug repellant! We gotta get Najah to bring the bug tents so we have an excuse to get closer to'em lol

Hey Meek, Did you hear that ?

I think we found a new way to surround ourselves with women on the trip.....bring a fly swatter dog !  I am bringing one for both hands. LOL

DriqFX get a water bottle with a filter and you'll be fine. I had one on the cruise in January and i still use it.

Hmmmmmm, anti-malaria drugs?  That sounds scary!  But, good lookin' out on the fly swatter ~~~~ I never would have thought of that one.  I always like to bring a big cup or mug for water.  But my question is.............How is the water? Indifferent  I'm a big water drinker so maybe I should bring my own?  Somebody, Anybody?

Didnt have any anti-malarial drugs, came home well. Been to DR a few times, never needed them unless so new outbreak is going on. Will check closer to date

I enjoyed myself, but I always carry a flyswatter when in the caribbean. People laughed at first then, all became my friends. I clear off the area before we sit to eat and it worked.LOL. I liked the food, didn't have anyproblems. Breakfast is always my favorite, how bad can you do an egg, lol.

I love the pool area, which is close to beach, drinks, and food. Best part is the Olivians of course

Hi Rachel,

I'm still trying to complete the booking for my partner and I, but Olivia was swamped today and did not return my 2 phone calls.  I'll try again tomorrow.  We have been to Punta Cana before, not with Olivia or to Club Med.   We think the DR has the best beaches we have ever seen. The water is clear, blue and warm...along with the soft white sand.  So to answer your question, it is close to paradise.  I must say the beach was our favorite part of our trip and the food was our least favorite. My profile pic is from there.  Again I will say that we stayed at a different resort (not club med) and quite a few people at our resort did get sick. We think from under cooked chicken.  I have looked at tripadvisors since the last Olivia trip and the bird/fly situation seems to be a ongoing issue.  I also would love to here from past Olivia Punta Cana travelers about that a few things.  Food was an issue when we visited a few years ago.  How is the food at Club Med? How are the rooms?

For those of you who have not been to Punta Cana, do you have any questions to ask the ladies who have already been?!?

For those of you who have been to this Club Med with Olivia in the past, any tips for us newbies?!?

I'll start us off with some questions:

1) Can it possibly be as gorgeous as it looks?  It looks like paradise! Paradise

2) What was your favorite part about your last Punta Cana trip?Cool

3) Did anyone get sick when you were there/shortly after you got home?Tongue Tied

4) Are the flies and birds as bad as the tripadvisor posts make them sound?Whisper
