is there an official list of official hotels that NCL is using?  Can't find it on-line or in any of my letters.  PS thanks for giving the hint about hiring our own shuttles to the ship.

I am staying there as well.  I have booked Laura's shuttle- www.laurashuttle.com and it is $38 to the ship and the return to the airport.  Check it out.

Try this place - Holiday Inn Orlando Airport I booked it on AMEX points, so it was REALLY cheap for me (think it's around $73) and I have a shuttle coming to get me for $33 to take me to the "The Ship" the next day if you're interested.... ALSO, this hotel has an easy airport shuttle of it's own that picks you up from the terminal and takes you to the hotel for when you land. By the way this is also a host hotel - but I think all in all it can be done cheaper if you book your shuttle with Coco Beach Shuttle service and get the cheapest possible rate on a hotel.

Hope that helps! And if you want to use the saem shuttle service ask for Seth - it's picking me up around noon on the 30th. And you can add yourself to that trip!

Hi - can anyone suggest a cheap hotel? We're arriving the day before the cruise so it'll only be for one night. - Thanks!

If you haven't rented a room yet, you might want to check this out.  I can't vouch for the hotel, but this could possibly save you some money.  Found it on their website:

My partner and I rented a car in Orlando in November and it was a huge hassle. First car we got had serious problems, and we had to drive it back to the airport to get an exchange- they wouldn't come out to get us even though we were quite far away. Slow customer service. If you've got the extra USD to spend I'd save myself the hassle and get a taxi or shuttle so you're not dealing with what in my experience is one of the world's slowest rental car response times.  We were surprised, given that Orlando is a huge tourist destination, but perhaps they figure that it's a captive audience.
