And hey we live in the mountains at 5000 feet... were it is 20 decrees at night in the winter - there is more to AZ than the flatlanders in Phoenix in the valley of the sun!!!

We had a sudden window of opportunity when they opened the back road to Phoenix... we throw everything in the car and started driving before they changed there minds... took twice as long but we just made it to a hotel at the airport with a 3:30 AM wake up... and then off to LAX the then ZIH.... that was definitely a scary one... start lining up the margaritas....

The good news is that this is a land-based trip, so there is no cruise ship to miss because you are a day late. 

We will see you when you get there!

Thanks for the thoughts but they have now closed all roads going to Phoenix so there is no way to get to Phoenix today until they clear the roads of the rock & mud slides not to mention the continuing snow...

Well if you need to go through globe come now and stay with me in Apache junction Az. I leave tomorrow 11:13 am if plane back ups get fixed today

Well we have had record amounts of rain/snow over the last few days... the main highway to Phoenix has been closed due to rock slides which has blocked the road and they are diverting traffic by way of Globe (which is a huge - think the other two sides of the triangle) diversion. And we woke up to another 6 inches of snow & it is still coming down like crazy... with all the cut backs we will see if our roads get plowed or they will wait for the sun to come out... YIKES!

Send some good positive energy we can get out of here some time today... and make it to sunny Ixtapa!

Last day of work... last night at home... going to Phoenix tomorrow to spend the night since they changed our flight to 6:00 AM and we are almost two hours from the airport...

With a four hour lay over in LA we will be the dazed women wondering around LAX going from Starbucks to Starbucks! So those of you flying out of LAX at 10:40 please redirect us in the right direction if we start walking in circles...

vacationlover ..... sleep is wayyyy over-rated!  

 

We leave Sat. morning - - also, VERY early - - but have an overnight in Houston so won't see ya'll until Sat. afternoon.  I hear the pool calling already!  See you soon!!

2 more sleeps here in arizona. All is prepared, bag by door and have all of Jaedes "stuff" for him to take to his pupsitter. Sat am off and flying..yea!

ONE MORE SLEEP!!  Technically, it's more like half a sleep, since our flight leaves at 6:25AM tomorrow and we're an hour from the airport.  But, there will be lots of time to sleep on the plane, so who cares!!

Yup - here, too!  1 more day of work for Kathy and 2 more sleeps!  Bags are packed, house/dog/cat/pigeon instructions done for house sitter, house is cleaned - WE'RE READY TO PLAY!!
