Hey Teresa,
Yes, I remember that the weather on the Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Westerdam March 2009 was not great
. Check out the photos in my profile from that cruise, especially the one of Mickey in the beautiful Trunk Bay Beach at St John in the pouring rain, or the rough waters we had to sail in. Remember when the Captain actually told us we were in the Bermuda Triangle, Vicki Shaw referred to it as a Hurricane in the Bermuda Triangle
.
We had cloudy weather at Turks during the first week in Nov, but I made it to the
beach everyday
I think it only rained overnight and early in the
AM. The worst of the hurricanes usually is over by early Oct.
We Olivia gals always make the best of each Olivia trip regardless of the weather, ports, resort or ship because it is the most freeing, accepting enviornment and I miss it the second we head to the airport.
I don't think we can bank on good or bad weather for either Nov or March, but we had a great time at both Turks and on the Westerdamsel.
We will be going on the Ryndam in 8 weeks on the Western Caribbean Cruise. This cruise has 4 ports, but the cabins are smaller for same $$ and there is only one speciality restaurant. You can book a much larger room on the SUN than on a HAL cruise for the same $$. Mickey and I enjoyed our Veranda on the Westerdam and had to book a cabin of the Ryndam with a smaller room and verandah because the next room up was just way too much $$. That is not the case on the Sun. The top of the line suites are far more reasonable as well as those inside staterooms starting at a great value. So from a $$ point a view, there is something on the SUN for everyone.
I hope to see you on another Olivia trip. I am hoping Mickey can get the week off and try a trip on the NCL SUN.
