All the guys I work with know I am gay so I don't have this issue with them. They are very respectful of my lifestyle and even go as far as to ask my opinion on other women. Lol.

That's really too bad that they are really disrespectful of you. People tend to "dwell" on subjects that they can get a rise out of. Although you may not be showing that you are pissed off with them, they probably have some idea that their comments and come-ons are getting under your skin.. Men can be such pigs at times. They obviously have high opinions of you if they are still chasing you around after 9 years!

Just keep your chin up and a smile on your face.. don't show them that they are getting under your skin or they will keep picking at you. They have to get the hint eventually and take a hike! OR.. you can "accidentally" trip, try to get your balance and kick em in the nuts! lol..

Being a cop is hard enough but being a lesbian in a male dominated job is so much harder. They know that I am a lesbian but they still try to sleep with me. I have been in the department for 9 years and I still have to listen to their come ons and such. They even know my girlfriend. We work for the same dept. I just had a conversation with a guy who asked me if I was sleeping with one of our commanders. I just laughed and walked away. I really wanted to punch him in the face. I know people will assume and even make up things. I often wonder if its worth the anger and frustration. I guess I thought that after nine years they would have moved on to other things. The bad thing is that I would not date any of them if I were straight. They are sorry excuses for men and most of them are of out of shape, balding men going thru mid life crisis with a wife and kids at home. Seriously!!! I just want to do my job and go home. Nothing more, Nothing less!!!

Anyone else ever had this problem at work? If so, how did you handle it? If not, be really grateful!! LOL
