So nice hearing from all you new ladies out there (well at least ya'll are new friends to me).  We have only been a part of the Olivia family for a little over a year, and I can truthfully say the experience has had a major impact on our lives.  I totally admire all the strong women out there who are combining careers and families.  You Rock

Wow Ladies, hats off to you. I thought we were the only ones crazy enough to raise so many. With only one left home, and the end in sight, we are so looking forward to a week of pure self indulgance, warm sand and good friends.  See you in 3 + months

We have a 4 yr old son.  As much as we NEED the week away, we'll miss him terribly!  He keeps us busy, that's for sure.

My Dear, sounds like ya'll need more than a happy "hour" - like maybe a happy "week".  I can somewhat empathize with ya'll.  We do not have the kids but had the elderly parents we took care of for years (one with Alzheimers), we have one old dog, several cranky cats, a barn full of horses and minis, and I work in a middle school as a counselor.  I know first hand about the activity schedules for middle schoolers.

Got 2 busy ones here, although not yet in high school...6th & 7th grades, both girls.  Between choir, band, bell choir, Forensics, civic club, Spanish club, Student Council, etc, etc ... whew no wonder I'm tired at the end of the day.

Plus throw in caring for a 94 yo Grandma, and 2 elderly in-laws (one with Alzheimer's Sad), and 2 old dogs, a cranky Tom cat and a 8 week old kitten  Big Smile... I think I need a VACATION!

Can't wait for Happy Hour!

We have one teenager who we run around and can hardly keep up! I cant imagine having 5 schedules to keep straight. I have been counting down the days until the trip!! The thought of no schedules, no cooking, no work and quality couple time sound incredible. The only schedules we are interested in have to do with happy hour, hourly special drinks and high/low tide. WooHoo!!!

After all of the running around for our five teenagers lately (none of which can drive yet but all play HS sports, music, art, work, etc...), I am SO looking forward to a week of peaceful couple time with no carpools, no schedule coordination, no cooking, and no work!  I can't wait for Ixtapa in January!   Anyone else feeling similarly?
