In all that has happened to me and my family in the past few years and even throughout my life, I have always accepted the power of prayer.  As I grow, I am even more aware of the ways in which God answers our prayers, and He does answer them all... just not when and what we often expect or anticipate. 

Most recently.... I wrote in a journal in March a short prayer asking for help with a few things, one of which was the completion of the redecorating of the inside of my home.  This has been a 4 year process literally and I was overwhelmed with other things that has kept me from getting the painting done... well, that prayer was answered....

My son and I took a road trip, to golf and see family and friends... three days into this trip the pipes under the foundation of my home burst and flooded my home... every room was affected... however, none of our possessions was ruined, just the carpet, some parts of the walls, the baseboards, flooring and some of the cabinets in the kitchen and both bathrooms... sooo to make a long story short, I cried for about 10 minutes and then realized that I had insurance for this kind of stuff... in a nut shell, my prayer was answered.   I not only got the walls painted, but got new baseboards, new kitchen and bathroom flooring, new carpeting, my cabinets had to be refinished to match the repaired sections in the kitchen and bathrooms and i put out a little money and got new kitchen countertops and cabinet facings... my house is now refinished on the inside as well as the outside...

What first appeared as another tragedy was really an answer to a prayer...

If I didn't already believe in the mysterious ways of our God, I do now! 

Keep praying, keep your heart and mind open to the answers... they will come...
