Well, I do the "C" daily. I don't particularly like daily injections, however, I'm not ever going to do the interferons. "Oral" is on its way!

I just "retired" from teaching at a university last May and held my retirement party in Columbus Isle (a wonderful time with other Olivians). However, I still practice on a part-time basis, because I love what I do. (Oh yeah, I like to eat, have a roof over my head and take trips with Olivia...which all cost $$; and I don't like putting all the pressure on my partner who is not quite old enough to retire).

See you in 3 months.

Hi, Ladies!  My hats off to ya'll for the positive outlooks.  It sure puts minor problems into their proper perspectives.  I just had an accident last night - stepped off a bleacher wrong at our football stadium and tore the LCL ligament in my knee.  Seems so trivial now in light of what ya'll deal with on a daily basis.

We also have the longevity strain going.  We have been together 34+ years and married 1.  We got married in San Diego  last October before the Mexican Riviera cruise.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Jaye!!  Small world, eh?  I understand the "mostly recovered" ... me, too...although I'm told there hasn't been a "real" exacerbation since the 1st one.   And yes, Nov 7th will mark 2 yrs. (I'm 52) so we're still finding our way around and learning how best to confront the MonSter!  (or, gee, maybe it's 17yrs...which is when Optic Neuritis was diagnosed with no [other] sign of MS...but *they* generally disregard that detail...)  btw, I also use a stick but pretty much anytime I leave the house.  I might be able to make it 2 blocks ... maybe ... slowly ... but would definitely look like I was drunk!  I did just pick up a cool new stick - made of hickory and looks like a (short) walking stick - likely the one that goes to Ixtapa.  Not to worry, tho - they'll be able to tell you & I apart ... I'll be the one with the fire-engine red scooter!!  Sounds like I can learn alot from you ... maybe we should schedule the IF parties now ... BetaSeron, Copaxone???

 Gotta keep the positive going, eh?  At any rate - yes, we will DEFINITELY need to connect in Ixtapa!!!

Hi there!  I'm new to this Board but certainly not to Olivia.  We've been on 2 cruises and will be celebrating our 20th & 2nd anniversaries (oh yeah...and 38th, too) in Ixtapa in Jan.!!

We were legally married in Vancouver on our 20th anniversary, with our two dads as our witnesses. It was a wonderful day. I'm so looking forward to meeting you both in January. You are so right about marriage and what it means.

Hey, congratulations!  We have friends here (London, Ontario) who will get legally married next month on their 25th anniversary.  Ky and I will be standing up with them.  They are 67 and 47.  There is definitely something sacred about committment, longevity and compromise :0)

I too hope we can connect and share with you both.  We are so excited.
