Hey JDsista!  Here's a post from Gina from another trip…but she's a great being! and this is how she described things for the solo's going on that trip…

 

Hi everyone.. Gina here.. the solos coordinator for this trip.. Looking forward to meeting you all... To clarify.. the solos group is for those traveling solo!! What that means is that no matter what your status is at home (i.e in a relationship, new or otherwise, but your partner or potential partner couldn't or didn't feel comfortable coming, or newly out of a relationship and not interested in dating but just want to travel) The solos group is for you.. My experience over the past 13 yrs working for Olivia is that for the most part,  people are honest with what their status is at home.. so please don't come on this trip by yourself  (or with others of the same status as described), and feel  that you are not welcome in the solo group.  The group is not about hooking up.. and although there are many success stories of single women who meet other single women in the group, the group is really about meeting and hanging out with people who are not traveling with a partner on the trip.. So relax, have fun and believe.. this is way more than a cruise.. Believe.. you'll see!!!

I am so excited as well. Me and my BFF will be celebrating our 41st B-days. I never been to Mexico and this trip was a WON by raffle. YYYAAAHHHOOOOO!. Any advice about the "solo" scene?

Hello Ladies--

We are getting very excited for our first Olivia experience and have enjoyed all the posts so far. We appreciate all the tips and are looking forward to matching the posts to the faces! It looks like a great way to spend my partner's 40th b-day and I get out of baking a cake!!! Can't beat that: sun, beach, beverages and someone else bakes the cake!

VacationLover--we are east coasters as well and thoroughly enjoy our jaunts to the Cape when we can get away. Looking forward to making new memories a bit farther south this year!
