I agree with Samatakah. 

With the TSA rules it can be easier and sometimes cheaper just to check a bag instead of having to buy stuff at your destination.

I'm traveling with a friend (Dreams In French) so we are solos too, though coming to Cancun together. 

 

I would advise against only bringing a carry on bag - you'll need a lot of sunscreen and you know how TSA is about liquids these days.  You should check out the "packing list" thread for good tips.  Plus, if you're flying through somewhere you don't want to have to lug a big heavy bag across an airport.

I just saw your post. I am traveleing by myself. This is the first time on an Olivia travel experience and the very first time traveling by myself so I am a bit nervous although excited. I also want to take some excursions and go to the spa. I live and work in San Francisco.

I have a question to ask, I was thinking of just packing a carry on but now I think that I should also bring sun screen and other toiletries that might not all fit in a carry on,what do you suggest?

Hi all... just a quick reminder that the solos group are not just for single ladies.. its for all peeps that are traveling without a girlfriend on the trip.. some in this group have a girlfriend at home that couldnt come, or maybe just met someone at home and already had this trip planned.. or maybe just ended a relationship for whatever reason and arent interested in hooking up with anyone.. just interested in meeting people and hanging out... so if you are traveling alone or with others in the same situation..  or if youre traveling with some couples and want to join in on some or all of the activities.. this group is for you..  dont worry.. fun will be waiting... No jinx taken here....my luggage should make it this time since it's a direct flight...no plane changing.    Yep....you gotta keep smiling no matter what....being angry and upset doesn't change a thing but how you feel.....so smiling helps make me feel better and thank you for noticing.....I guess I do smile a lot....never thought about before. LOL  It will be good to see you and all the lovely ladies of Olivia again.

I am travelling alone from the UK and looks like I wont be able to Hotel till about 10pm on the 1st day.  Will I miss the solo meeting.  If so might arrive a day early and stay at airport.

I'm not sure if I count as a solo, as I'll be traveling with my good friend. I definitely don't fit in to the couples category! Is there a "solo-lite" category?
