Welcome, Stxdreamer!  I will definitely save you a set at the Beach Bar "theadie" get together on Sunday morning.  You will LOVE the Olivia experience....

Roslyn & Nikki,  Sorry to hear you had problems with seat saving in Cancun, we always sat in the same spot everyday but there were only 4 of us so it was never a big deal. However when we went to Riu in Aruba we ran into the same thing and it is annoying. From the looks of the size of the pool and the beach I'm hoping that you won't have any problems and if you do come find us we'll save you a spot...LOL....

Hello ladies of Olivia,

This will be our first Olivia resort trip, and we can't begin to tell you how excited we are. We have been on four Olivia cruises..all wonderful..but all had seat savers...Our first toast will be to Roslyn & Nikki..we agree..we go on vacation to relax, meet wonderful women, and have a great time with all...couples and singles...soooooo, see everyone in a few days.....by the way..if the seat next to us is empty, sit down, relax, and talk to us a while.

Welcome, Roslyn & Nikki!  We're so glad ya'll decided to give Olivia another try.  My spouse and I went on our first Olivia trip last October on the Mexican Riviera cruise and I must say we didn't run into this.  I know we always welcome anyone who wants to join us, like Evergreen said, we would just pull up more chairs if necessary.   We even invite others to join us when they appear to be alone.  Please sign up for the Beach Bar get-together.

Yes, I know this happens because friends travel together & like to experience the various events together. But I would like to think that we would add a couple more chairs & say "Come on, join us, great to meet you". Olivia in particular is about being together in a world where we sometimes feel apart from society. I am sorry you had this experience Roslyn. We look forward to participating in all of the Olivia entertainment/events on CI, with you.

Hello ladies! I'm so so so excited about the upcoming trip to Columbus Isle. My wife and I were in Cancun last year and we had the BEST TIME EVER. However there was one very small very annoying thing....

The ladies of Olivia love to SAVE SEATS! My wife and I would show up at the bar, the restaurant, the pool, wherever and there would be two ladies in the middle of 10 or so empty seats. My wife and I would try to sit down and we were told over and over again, "They're taken!" with no other ladies beside the two seat savers being present for long periods of time.   It was painfully obvious that we had some serious seat savers at the resort. 

Now, I like to save seats for my friends occasionally too. Like, at the movies. Or an auction. Or in church.  But we're on vacation! My wife and I want to mingle, meet people, not be repeatedly told that the seats are taken. This happened so often in Cancun that my wife and I considered not going on another Olivia vacation.

So PLEASE, if you're traveling with a big group- I get it, you all want to sit together- but chill out with the seat saving business. Realize that there are solos and couples that want to mix, mingle, sit down and feel welcome.
