Hiya sleddog! whadya think? should we do the western caribbean or ixtapa resort? can't decide. then wendy threw me for a loop regarding the river cruise from provence to burgandy. agghhh!

There was not one thing wrong with this resort ~ it was great!!!

We had a "Deluxe Oceanview Suite with Balcony" 

It was actually oceanfront & there was a ton of space.

Really, really nice room …or I should say "it was a sweet suite!"

OK ~ now I remember one thing that was wrong ~ we had to leave far too soon!

the pic on my profile is of sunny, dutch warmblood (hanoverian) gelding, very much a gentleman but like your belgium, he's huge (over 17h) quite a character. he lets himself out of his stall, as well as whoever he wants to cause mischief with that night. gets into everything. send pix to my inbox of your paint and belgium! wow - you guys can handle mares! kudos!

does anyone know whether it would be better to get a two bedroom or the suite. my wife and i need room!

Hey AugustMoon, welcome!  We had only been on cruises before this January when we went to Ixtapa.  You are going to love it!  It is much more laid back and casual at the resort.  the most stressful decision is "do I go to the pool or the beach today?"  I cannot help with the rooms, we had a special deal on a suite before and will probably go with the oceanfront with balcony next time.  Sled dog, can you help out with the rooms?

On the cruises, we enjoyed dressing up but at the resort, it's shorts and bathing suits all week.  both are so much fun.  Love your pictures of your horse, we have a paint mare (breeding stock) and a Belgian mare (my gentle giant)

hi ladies! i have only been on olivia cruises, and was thinking of trying this resort (as per Wendy's recommendation). What do I need to know? what's the resort like? what room should i get? i need a balcony & oceanfront -- should I get the 2 bedroom oceanfront w/balcony or is it a better investment to get the oceanview suite w/balcony? any info would be great. thanks!
