And call them I did.  They basically said that the airline told them one bag, one carry-on.  I personally think it's a misunderstanding- that the airline said "two bags" and meant two checked bags, but it was interpreted as one checked and one carry-on.  Machts nichts for me- I leave for the airport in about 9 hours, so must make do with the guidance we have.

So I just got off the phone with the Miami Air folks (running the Miami charter) because I wanted to ask if they had an additional weight allowance for dive equipment.  (Many airlines have additional allowable bags/weights for various types of sporting equipment.)  They said that the folks chartering the aircraft set the baggage restrictions, within certain limits- 2xbags at #50 and a carry-on being the (apparent) max.  Any ideas why we're being restricted to only one bag at #44 plus carry-on?  I'd much prefer to carry my dive stuff in a separate bag from my regular stuff.

We received an email from Olivia saying 'We’ve gone GREEN! This email serves as your pre-trip documents. Everything you need to know about your trip is here."  It does not look like they will be mailing anything.  Maybe they will give that stuff out at the resort.

We usually got a packet in the mail. For Cancun we got luggage tags, tote bags, confirmation letters, packing tips, lots of good stuff, etc....

What travel docs do you think we will need?  I am going to have to go back and see if I saved any of them.  Thanks for the tip.

Okay...according to the e-mail, NO luggage tags, travel docs, or other goodies via mail. Olivia has gone green....I just printed out all my e-mails with our confirmations.....good thing I save e-mails.

Must say i had a huge sigh of relief knowing that the charter flight from Miami allows a carry on AND a checked bag included. Phew.

We should be getting luggage tags etc., in the mail soon  -  After I booked and got my e-mail confirmation from Olivia, along with the invoice, I was sent a one page summary Important Information for Columbus Isle.  Don't know if Olivia wll provide too much else advance information since the excursions are limited and can only be booked there.

Tanqueray, I hope you didn't think I was stepping on your toes after your informative posting re luggage on Spirit.

Just thought I'd check re possible ease of restrictions etc on the charter.
