oops..Vickie reminded me that we will be right near the restaurant just before...so we will meet everyone there

Hi Amy - Thanks for the reminder- I have mostly been in restaurants that do take cards, so never thought about this.  Yes, in Amsterdam at many smaller establishments, cash is all they accept. Best to ask BEFORE you sit down :-) See you soon - heading out the door in a few hours. See you in the lobby!

Hey  Jill

 Sorry I didn't reply sooner...  Vickie and I will meet you in the lobby at 6:40. One thing did come to mind..you may want to let people know that many places in Amersterdam don't take credit cards.  A friend of ours was left at the restaurant as collateral while everyone else ran around trying to find an ATM....

We are now at 18!  So far I have:

Caren and partner, Vickie and Amy, Connie and Kay, Pam and Glenda, Marilyn, Linda, Anne and myself all meeting in the lobby of hotel at 6:40pm April 9 to walk over together, and Marcia, Lorraine,Beth, Deb, Merri and Margaret meeting us at the restaurant at 7pm. SOunds like a fun time is going to be had!

I think we are now at least 15.  Beth and Deb from VA and Merri and I from GA are planning to meet you at the returant.

Already there are 5 of us meeting in the Renaissance hotel Lobby at 6:40pm on April 9 to go to dinner at Bistro Bij ons. You "5" already know who you are (Caren +1, Connie and Kay and me). If you are interested in joining us, please email Essie at: e.gaarenstroom1@chello.nl, to make reservations, and let her know you are joining "Jill's 5" :-)

It is traditonal Dutch cuisine, average price for entrees are about 13-19 Euros, and is Lesbian-owned. Join us if you can!

She is also open for dinner on April 10 and 11 if people would like to make reservations now, and is within walking distance to the Renaissance Hotel.
