I wrote this short poem when I was 13 years old in 1978. Some of you old heads might remember seeing in those magazines like Tiger Beat, poem contests for teenagers. You could enter a poem and it would be printed in a book of poems. Of course you had to BUY THE POEM BOOK (I wish I had looking back at it). Needless to say, because of the subject matter, I didn't win. LOL

Both Are She

We walk together hand in hand,

Getting looks and stares,

From those who just don’t understand,

If they only knew how happy,

Two people could be,

It wouldn’t matter much,

That we both are SHE!

I guess this was my coming out announcement at 13 years old!!!!

Woke up one night...
Not knowin what got into me..
But knew i am in love but with a SHE..
Wasnt scared..i want the whole world to see..
Aint weird..just went out of sight..yet it wont defer

Yes, i will scream out loud..
In you, the passion i have found..
No human has it or will..
Maybe the universe will curse me but it wont kill
The lust i got for u..
Yea i know u love me too

Lets get away from this world..
Look deep in ma eyes, i am ur Girl..
Will stand up for u, no matter what..
In my life, u r d rope to hope i will never cut..

Today when i look back at dat day..
I wish i can feel what i felt everyday..
Perhaps sink in u in everyway..
I will hold ur hands infront of everyone..
No more hiding, i wil bring u d sun..

I am free to be, so let me..
