Hola chicas! In the Seattle area we have potlucks for current, former, and future O travelers. All are welcome- just send me your name and contact information to laurab0725@gmail.com and I'll put you on the email list for upcoming events. We do these about twice yearly, and will likely have one in April before the Amsterdam-Switzerland cruise. It's a great way to stay in touch with friends met on Olivia who live closer to you, to meet people you'll be on a trip with, and to keep the spirit going when we're back here in the gray and rain.

Seattle area travelers- flight information

Hi all. Went to Alaska Airlines website this morning per usual to book my flights at 330 days out and discovered that they don't have weekend flights into and out of Ixtapa in November. Argh. Spent a fair amount of time on various travel websites, finally called Panorama, who works with Olivia. The best bet is going to be via Phoenix on US Airways. If you want to book Business Class, those tickets are currently discounted (today being 12/13/12), and will likely go quickly, especially since no doubt other Olivians will be on the flight from Phoenix to Ixtapa. Coach round trip was in the 700+ range. I wanted to give you all the heads up - and also to remind you that we have a Seattle area Olivia potluck group, and if you're not on the email list for it yet you can contact me here with your email and I'll add you to the list.

Seattle/Puget Sound area potluck

Hi Olivians. The Seattle/Puget Sound area O group has been holding sporadic potlucks for the past two years, and another one is about to happen sometime in late summer/early fall. If you live in Seattle or its surrounds (we have women from as far south as Olympia, and as far north as Victoria BC) and would like to have your email included on the potluck list, please write to me at laurab0725@gmail.com and I will add you to the list (and then encourage you to consider being the next host). It's our way of trying to both stretch the experience for those of us who've been, and welcome newcomers on their first trip so that they'll have a friendly face or two that they can recognize at the event.
