Probably wouldn't take part on that. We already have snorkeling excursions planned for the days we are on Aruba and Curacao, but will see whatever time we have remaining to get to areas not to distant to see what we can see.

Great idea though ... good luck with it!

I only see one person listed as a possible guide. Have you tried to contact him/her? Let me know if you have any luck. It sounds like a great idea but with only one person on the website, I wonder if its legit.

glad to know there are other dedicated birders around. Judy and I have been trying to figure out how to use the shore excursion for birding. Have found this program that connects experienced local birders with travelers:

Great minds, indeed!

We are only doing a day at the Everglades and then going to Key Largo for more snorkeling at John Pennecamp State Park; really nice snorkeling there.

Obviously we need to get together! We are also staying 3 days after the cruise to bird in the Everglades. great minds must think alike!

This is a video showing flamingos on a private island (for guests of the hotel only) in Aruba. Check it out.

They can be seen at Arikok National Park and elsewhere as well, but pretty cool that people get to see them right on the beach.

We are going to look for flamingoes in one place that my wife read about.

We are also staying 3 days following the cruise so we can bird at the Everglades; very amazing place for bird watching!
