Also it was a good way to find out if another woman was a lesbian. "hey have you ever heard of Chris Williamson?" Met many a lesbian using that line.

12-19-12 ...This is a sad month but I want those who have never heard of Rebecca Wight to know of her. I did not know of her until yesterday. I am from Pa and she was murdered in Pa in 1988. Barb Barton wrote a song for her and sang in for her (Song For Rebecca) lover after the tragedy. Please google her name and think of her.

Me thinks it might have been in 1973 when Cris was first in Washington D.C. and performed. She sang Joanna and was so startled by the applause that she froze for a moment. Then, in the audience a voice was heard. It was Meg Christian. She was doing what I believe has been her life's work. She started to help another by singing the song to help Cris. I love this story so very much. Meg had bought the album previously and knew the song. Meg wanted at one time to own every woman artist's record and she was instantly drawn to Cris when looking thru records in a shop in the early 70's. You should go to You Tube and search Meg Christian Joanna. Maybe Cris and Meg will sing it on the 40th .

Well damn ...I made it 18 hours. Someone save me! I have fallen and I can't get up. I cannot leave here and I very much doubt these will be my last words. Once I remember saying "Only 52 more days." ...Now I say "Only 38 more days." I do not want to see another woman with a guitar.

p.s. We need a boat and guitar in our smiley face library.

I know they will. I need to say something more here. They are more than music. They are US. They are everything we feel and know in our hearts. I do not deserve to be talking here as I cannot be present for this event of a lifetime. But, I know this...There is nothing more important in the history of women's music than Meg Christian and Cris Williamson. Yes, there are many who gave much before them but there is something very special in their gifts to us. You should cherish each and every word they say or sing. I love them both so very much. I cannot believe what has happened to me the past few years. But, I am grateful for EVERY LAST MOMENT! This is my last word and you had better enjoy the moment!!!

Oh yes, Meg is definitely singing on this cruise! Meg and Cris had rehearsals in New York recently and are going to sing their hearts out for you!

Oh that was such a great show - I am confused if it was Meg on stage and Holly who started singing with her from the audience or vice versa but it was fantastic. Made me feel like I was 20 again.

Meg sang on the last cruise she was on a few years back...so we can look forward to her singing once again...and this time with Cris!!

4-12-12...If you would like a Meg Christian Songbook go to EBay. One is available now and I have only seen two in the past two years offered. I I would bet she would sign it for you during the 40th.
