I don't know Portuguese but I am an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher. I am very patient with non-native English speakers. One of my current and one of my favotrite students is from Brazil.

I am sure there will be lots of ladies of Olivia who will be able to converse in Portuguese, and those of us who do not have that talent are always willing to try to help in any way we can to make sure you have a fabulous time. I have enjoyed many afternoons with Olivia guests from all over the world, despite the fact that I am unable to speak their language.

Bom dia, you two. Lots of us will be patient with your slow English, which will be way, way better than any of our Portuguese! (You just got my entire vocabulary in my greeting). Lots of us also speak some related language such as French (moi) or Spanish, so between us all we will make this work for you two. Bemvinidas!

Hi, we (Flavia & Helena) are from Portugal.

Flavia is Brazilian and Helena (me) Portuguese.

Anybody else is portuguese speeking??? Or is....patient enough for Flavia??? She's worried about her 1.0.1. english!!! ;-)

Can't wait for this new experience!!!
