The self service laundry rooms are a great deal!!

I have used the 2 other types of laundry service and have had very good luck!!!!

One option is the $20 all you can put in a blue laundry bag about 12 in by 18 in. Believe me, it IS amazing how many things you can stuff in that bag if you are clever!!!! The other thing is the $60 a week unlimited laundry service. I have usually gotten my things back before the time they say.

The KEY is to put the laundry in the bag for either option outside your door before 9 am. They have even pressed my clothes sometimes even if I did not ask, for no extra charge. To be safe, give them 2 days to return, since they may be overwelmed with all the ladies! Either option (or the self serve laundry, too) is also great if you are careful about the number of days before the end of trip to be able to go home with clean clothes, instead of dirty ones to unpack.

I'm probably not a good source of laundry service reviews on board since the only time we have ever sent laundry on an Olivia cruise was a diaster. However, here is food for thought . . . We sent some articles of clothing down to have them pressed and like to never had them return. In fact, on formal night, we had to call down and ask for specific items just to wear that night and get out pictures done. I think we got other items returned the day before we disembarked, and some items were actually missing (blazer and slacks). They did tell us that the laundry workers were "overwhelmed" with the amount of laundry (hmmm, a ship full of lesbians?) So, we don't do that anymore LOL. I have packed, and gotten on board with, a travel iron but don't even think I'm taking it to Alaska. We have pretty much decided that this is a "no frills" cruise and will be mostly in jeans this trip. Not even gonna take a pair of dress slacks. Jeans, T's, sweats and sweatshirts -- that's where you'll find us

turn around time under 24 hrs...great service..however this ship also has self serve laundry...about $2 for wash and $ 1.50 per drying cycle...on three levels...

Hello! Has anyone had their laundry washed on board Olivia (or any cruise for that matter)? What are prices and what is the turn around time?
