Hello ladies of Olivia. We just confirmed a spot on this tour and thought I’d drop a line or two to clear up any questions. Just so everyone knows - this is not a “private” tour which is probably why we are not required to pay in advance or use a cc to hold it. But-- if enough Olivians show up, who’s to say it won’t turn into an Olivian excursion? If you want to go, all you have to do is show up with $78 in US cash. Payment is made to the tour Capt, who does not make change. This looks to be a wonderful experience! A big shout out to LCM1 for finding the excursion and sharing it with the rest of us! Below is the email I received from Stephane that gives basic info:

Your booking is now confirmed as follow: Date: September 26th, 2012 Resort of stay: Cruise Ship PAUL GAUGUIN Excursion: Shark & Ray Snorkel Safari group tour. Rate: 7000 XPF or $78 USD per person Payment: Cash the day of the tour, directly with the guide. Please bring with you the exact amount because the captain will not have any change. Pick-up: 12:45 pm at the tender dock, near the huge wooden map of Bora Bora, on the right side of the pier. Drop off around 3:30 pm (same place). Other: Don’t forget your sun protection. You pay the captain of the boat when you get on. This excusion is NOT offered by the cruise ship. They take US dollars. It should be a great time. Swim with sting rays and sharks and go to the coral gardens

We have just heard back from the tour operator. They will take either USD or XPF.

Looking forward to this day trip and ALL OF THE TRIP to Tahiti

This is one of the excursions that I would love to do!!
Wonder if any of ya mind if I join you!

But I am wondering... about the cash... US money...not their French currency?
and the captain of the cruise-ship...or the tour company.

We have just sent an email to Moana adventure tours to get onto the trip. Will be amazing to be able to feed/touch a stingray.

Go to their web site Moana Adventure Tours the excursion is in the upper right hand corner called Shark and Ray snorkel Safari in group click on it they go to contact them and send them an e mail requesting this excursion let them know you are on the PC cruise ship date Sept 26th Stephane will contact you back. They will want a credit card to hold the reservation. You pay the captain when they pick us up $78 US cash. 12:45 pick up time on the peir where the tenders dock!! Stephane will send you a confrimation letter!

We just sign up for a shark and ray snorkel excursion with Moana Adventure tours Sept 26th. They will pick us up at 12 45 on the tenders dock 2 1/2 hours $78 per person The ship doesn t offer this type of tour. Join us!!
