Hi Ladies of Olivia, I have it on good authority that we should buy pearls from Tahia.

She used to have a store on the ship, but no longer does as of 2 weeks ago.

Her main store is in Moorea; but she has stores all over.

Having read a wide range of reviews on different Tahiti forums we have narrowed down a few of the day trips that we want to do.

We are looking for 6 of our Olivia cruisemates to join us on the following 1/2 day trip while we are in Bora Bora - Tuesday 25th Sept 1:30-4:30pm. Then we can visit Bloody Marys for a drink or 2!

The price of the day trip gets very reasonably priced if we can get 6 more people to join. The price for a similar trip through the PG is $129US.

Here is some of the details of the trip:

Seasickness - Transdermscop patches

I am prone to getting sea sick (even when I am scuba diving it happens) and have tried all of the natural and prescribed drugs to find a solution.

Well the only thing that works is the Transdermscop patches that go behind the ear. They are amazing. Only problem is - we can not buy them here in Australia at all.

So if there is anyone out there who has any spare, is bringing some onto out cruise or can bring some, I would be happy to pay you for them.

If we were too fixated on the Tahiti trip we are being sent something to take our minds off it, at least temporarily. We have been batting down the hatches for the last 24 hours preparing for Isaac. We should start getting the outer bands this evening and tropical storm/hurricane conditions could continue through tomorrow night. Looking to only get major rain (12 inches upward), winds up to 70 miles an hour, and power outages, hopefully only lasting a couple of days. We really feel sorry for the people a little south of us in New Orleans. What a way for them to spend the anniversary of Katrina!!!!

Hi there. Does anyone know when the shore excursion bookings wil be available? My partner Donna and I were married May 5 and this is our honeymoon trip -very excited! We received many "adventures" as gifts and we're dying to book them :). I haven't seen anything about the excursions yet and thought they should be available around now. Anyone have any intel??

Tahiti Air

We reserved tickets through Olivia for Tahiti Air but are getting very anxious about not receiving any confirmation from Tahiti Air. Olivia keeps promising they are on the way but what is going on? Anyone else worrying? I believe these flights are sold out now & I am concerned. I wish I had made my own reservation months ago & gotten the seats that I wanted at the time I wanted. Any thoughts?

I just wanted to pass along some information about a booking my partner and I have just made in case more ladies of Olivia wish to join us. It is rated #1 on tripadvisor for things to do in Vaitape and my discussions with the company have been great. We have booked for the first trip out on the day we arrive in Bora Bora (Sept 25). Laura has assured me that they have worked with guests from the Paul Gauguin many times before and even if we do not make the first tender they "will not leave without us". We are booked under Alison & Joanne if anyone wants to join in, they allow up to 4 couples per trip. Have a great day everyone and we can't wait to be down in paradise!! If you wish to see some pictures of the tour, we invite you to check our facebook page “pure snorkeling by reef discovery” or our website: www.boraborasnorkeling.com Please find below the description of the tour and its cost, the name of our company is « Reef discovery » as the main purpose is to allow our clients to discover the beauty of Bora Bora and its wild side, far from the crowded areas. The circle lagoon tour we offer lasts 3 &1/2 hours, in which we stop three to four times to snorkel in the most preserved corals gardens of the lagoon, you will see a rich variety of fishes like anemone fishes, moray, beautiful coral formations, often the beautiful Manta rays, Eagle rays and sometimes harmless reef sharks. We take in average four couples, so for a regular tour price, the clients receive a very personalized treatment. For those who are interested, we explain during the tour the reef and island's formation. Our team of dive instructors snorkel with the clients in the coral gardens to show them the fauna and flora and help snorkeling those who are afraid, is their fist time, or do not feel comfortable in the water. Regarding the snorkeling equipment, the cruise ship marina would lend it to you and we would take care of the drinks too. The cost of the excursion is of 10000 xpf per person. (125 USD / 85 Euros) and the payment should be done in cash after the tour in the currency you prefer. Please note that we do not take credit cards.

Unfortunately we are unable to go on the fabulous Tahiti cruise and was hoping there is a couple interested in going. The information is as follows:

It is a porthole stateroom, which is $3399 per person. With the taxes and gratuities, the overall total cost is $7596 for two people. The room is 200 sq feet, queen size bed, 2 portholes.

Would love to sell the trip to the highest bidder!
