You can also email me direct with questions at jillc@olivia.com

It's hard to say exactly what will happen, but the water is always cool - not warm as in the Caribbean or Tahiti :-). We have been in the Galapagos when there are no jellies, and have been there when there are many, both in May/June and October/November. We once snorkeled with Sea Turtles who were abundant in a sea of jellies! In fact, it's the best time as the turtles feed on the jellies, and there are so many turtles at those times! If you wear a body suit or long - sleeve shirt it helps. We do supply wet suits on board, no matter what the temperature, as it enables you to snorkel for a longer period of time. And if you get a little stung, we just put vinegar on it and it does the trick. It was so worth having a few minor jelly-fish stings to be with so many sea turtle! But, again, this does not happen all the time, and we have also been there when there are no jellies and swam with penguins and sea turtles :-)

I was going to hold out until January to officially start being excited about our upcoming honeymoon to the Galapagos, but as with most things, I jumped the gun.

Shelley and I are looking very forward to the trip, as we love to snorkel and it has always been her dream to snorkel with penguins. I am holding out for mermaids, but you get the picture. For those of you who have made this trip before or otherwise spent time in the Galapagos, how is the water temp in late May/early June? or the jellyfish predictions? we usually wear wetsuits for warmth and jelly protection, but I am not sure we will need them on this trip.

Looking forward! Laura
