Heh Julie! *sigh* I only WISH I had been on the links :( Unfortunately I have been up to my eyeballs with work. And just finished a 2-day public education/information event that I have created/organized/run for the past 2 years (will I EVER learn? :D )

I am in the process right now of cramming diver certification in from a 5 week to a 3 week course so that I can go to certify dive in Ohio on the 13-14th (better site and temperature) than wait to certify dive at the Bluewater bridge (ICK) on the 27ish...so that has taken all my spare time. I think maybe I will have more time next month ..and would LOOOOVE to hook up and go golfing...good thing about being 'the boss' is that I can get a weekday off when I want (hmm...theoretically at least...havent had many days off for awhile) LOL :) ..will keep ya posted and thanks for the invite!

I really do plan on getting back - I was born in Canada (shhh - don't tell anyone but I'm a Newf) but left at age 2. This was my first trip back. My partner and I will be in Vancouver this fall for the Alaska cruise.

Sold my bike (Yamaha Virago 750) awhile back b/c lack of time to ride ...but once its in yer blood! ..well..you know :D I always find myself stopping and looking at the latest bikes..so I'm sure it's just a matter of time before I get another one (sshhh.. don't tell my mother :rolleyes: ..she jumped for joy the day I sold my last one)

Last summer I was on a "Four Corners" motorcycle trip and going from Maine to Washington state via the Trans-Canadian Highway. I broke down in northern Quebec province. Met the nicest and most helpful people of the entire trip in Quebec. Never did make it to the western provinces. Reports of heavy rain and widespread flooding drove me back south across North Dakota, Montana, etc. Getting back to Canada for another motorcycle vacation is on my “to do” list.

Didn't realize it, Julie, until I looked at their website from a Canadian perspective. You're right. No travel insurance listing as there is for U.S. citizens. Recent change perhaps? Hmmm. Hope you get some good answers and/or alternatives.

That's the pits Julie! I was going to call them for my Hawaii Trip but looked at their brochure and then compared it to CAA (I have a membership with them) and the CAA insurance package was cheaper. It is a bit maddening about the Olivia credit card too though. Kind of makes one feel like a 'second-class citizen' at times *sigh* ;) Oh well, one can only make one's self heard and then hope for the best :D

Brewmax -- My partner and I took the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Banff several years ago -- wow -- was it a great trip -- both classes of service are fine -- the less expensive class is on a lower level and food runs toward sandwiches and snacks -- the upper level is in an upper observation car -- with fancy snacks and food in a dining car -- we did each class for 1/2 the trip (they offered a chance to upgrade on the train)...views are spectacular -- overnight in the middle in Camloops -- a sleepy little town with lots of small casinos (strange to find casinos there -- but I won $600 that night playing nickels)...I'd highly recommend the trip -- with Olivia or going with a few other people on your own -- stay at the Fairmont resorts in Banff and Lake Louise also -- what an experience!!!
