Unfortunately, I have a cardinal beating on my window and they are notorious for mating 4-5 times during a season so I'm told my window beating may continue off and on (mostly on!) through August-Sept. as it did last year!

Yes, the gay life is great. The Toronto Gay Pride is second only to San Fransisco I think.
Over a million people watch the parade. It's lots of fun. I told Olivia they are missing out on advertising there. There are always booths for travel companies that are VERY busy, but Olivia isn't there. A huge lesbian population in Toronto with $$$'s to spend on vacations!!!

Can't comment on the fishing, not my cuppa.

Oh, wasn't the Phantom great? I saw it 4 times & could have gone back for more!!!!

I am sure I will love the trip..they would really have to screw up in catastrophic proportions at this point in my excitement. I think that they could prolly tow me behind the ship in a rubber dingy, with a bottle of water, bag of beef jerky and I would still think it was great :D (ok..perhaps a slight degree of hyperbole..but you get the drift ;) )

You try to nudge the hayseeds out there and we will see if we can prod the Torontonians and eastward...start a canuck virtual wave :D

LOL Evergreen, those fish aren't very fresh, you should try it fresh out of an Alaskan Stream. My partner and I fished in Haines, Alaska last easter it was great and the fish delicious.

Whitehorse was an adjustment. And yes I had to buy a warmer coat, the gortex one from Mountain Coop Equip was just not warm enough. I was in Ontario on Easter Weekend 2006 and was wearing shorts. My mom thought I was nuts but it was warm for me.

It would be cool to meet in Montreal but I would be flying home on the 30th. We will hopefully attend the opening on July 29th, if we can get a seat sale on air canada for Susan.

Your first Olivia trip eh, you will love it. I first traveled with RSVP which is more gay men than women but it was a hoot. Then when Susan and I got married, we booked a cruise with Olivia. Now that was just fantastic. We have a dvd from the trip which is sent out to everyone, we are on it 3 times.

I will attempt to nudge some of the western Olivia canucks to see if we can get them on here.

Howdi right back. Well I grew up in Whitby/Oshawa Ontario so moving here has been an adjustment. Makes Ontario look like Florida. Mind you lately Ontario and the greenhouse effect = Florida type weather, they don't really get snow anymore, not the real stuff. Thunder Bay is a nice area, but I will be the mosquitos are like the ones here, big enough to fly me home for a visit.

As far as the Out Games, I am flying to Montreal just before the opening to go to a Workers Out Conference so I will be there for the opening games. I am trying to convince my partner to come too.

Ahhhh Hawaii, sounds lovely, we wanted to try something different, cruises I like, but I love land and free booze better. No ridiculous chit bills at the end of the trip unlike with the Mexican Riviera cruise we took.

Yes fishing is life isn't it.

Okay okay if this is the Canada thread then I have to chime in. Seems only the Ontario Canucks have been yacking here.

I am originally from Ontario but moved to the great white north to be with my current partner. Just was home and it was warmer there, I feel jealous because it snowed/rained last weekend.

Lemme see, there are lots of pot holes on the Alaska Hwy.

Salmon are spawning. So hopefully good fishing in the summer ( since summer doesn't come here until late June )

As far as politics, Steve Harper sucks!!!!! Okay maybe that is a little harsh, but he better not mess with the gay bill.
