I have to tell you I can't wait to get on the boat...I am ready to leave the land behind. It just sounds like heaven to be able to be yourself and not feel like the odd man out. My partner and I are landing in Miami. I am wonderring for those of you also landing there are you renting a car to FLL and staying at a hotel there or are you staying in Miami and heading to FLL on Sunday? Being Cuban I wouldn't mind hanging out in Miami for a little while.

Hello everone,  just drop in to see how the fights and hotel booking is going.  I have my flight but waiting on the room.  Seems just when I want to make the call somthing else comes up.  I live with my 17yr son and a personnal aide that akes care of me but by the end of july my oldest son his wife and a two year old and newborn will be moving in till there house is builded.  So my Nov i will be ready for a break.  My new wheelchair will be here some time in june and ive lost 10 pounds so i am getting ready to enjoy a week with you all.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on the trip and let's all keep chatting because it makes the trips so much more fun when you get to know each other a bit before you reach the boat.  It is kind of like a reunion before the union, so glad this group has got it going on already.

Hello everybody I have been peeping at the talk for awhile now so I guess it is time to put in my two cents.  We just booked our air line tickets. Remember to look at Miami airport it is only about 25 miles away. Deb and I booked a flight for 2 from Indianapolis to Miami for $200.00 each. with tax $ 428. This was with AA and the Olivia discount.

Yes to buying now!  Just bought my ticket, would of done this a few months ago, just was not sure if I wanted to take an extra week somewhere else b/4 coming home.   Hesitatation, cost me, prices are going up thru the roof.  Good luck!  I checked a lot of sites, and ended up going with a site that I have used b/4.  www.ultimatefares.com  maybe this site will assist some of you gals.

The weather has blessed us with our first heatwave, lol.  I got up to the high 70's today and is to continue for a few days.  Got the fever!  I did some planting of flowers and cleaned out my old wheelbarrow that I plant flowers in, and am now going to relax.

There are all kind of increases coming around. I heard today that one of the airlines, I think American, is charging a $5 increase for all aisle and window seats. So I guess smaller planes get an update automatically.

For once my partner isn't making fun of how far in advance I like to plan!

My advice about the airfare would be buy now. We bought ours in February and the same flight has gone up about $950. It is only going to get worse with the rising costs of fuel.

Just wanted to check in and say hi since it's been a while that I have been on.  V and I have officially bought our house and as of May 1rst have been living here!  Very exciting but scary all the same! 

 We can't wait for our first big trip together and are super excited to share it with all of you sweet people!  What a great idea to chat and get a bit familiar with everyone..... I hope we all don't get lost in the jumble and not get to actually spend time together when we are on the ship!

 Indie, I am glad that you have taken us all under your wing.... you have been a huge help to a bunch of us and I wanted to thank you again for keeping up the excitement.  I honestly would not have thought twice about this cruise until the day before departure... then I would have scrambled to pack and plan but with this site and the people on it... I am so pumped and pre-prepared! 

 We have yet to book the hotel and are still checking flight costs.... anyone have any advice on the best time to purchase a flight from toronto to florida?  Prices are still pretty crazy but I don't know if they will get worse or better.

 Can't wait to officially meet you all!!!!

All good here, the weather turning nice for a bit, in other words, little or no rain.   Sweet!    So with all this nice weather coming round, it reminded me to pass on a shopping tip.  Buy your "white party" attire b/4 summer ends, usually Olivia does a "white party" on the ship.   If you wait after summer, white is very hard to find.   The party is casual, some dress up and other go casual, a full range of attire on beautiful, fun loving people.  Always a blast!!

Off for dinner and then to watch "LOST".  Any other fans out there?

Whoo hoo!!!  Glad to hear you are having fun and taxing your brains for unique and fun gifts!!  The meet and greet is very fun, a great place to meet everyone that has been chatting on the board.   The "official" gift exchange will happen on the ship.   Many of us may meet up at the pre-cruise party at the Hotel.   I plan on attending, esp. since I am staying at the same hotel/resort where the party will be happening.  Maybe we can also meet up at the land party.

The weather has been pretty good here, as of late, lol.  We had a good amount of snow this year and the rivers are high, time to get out and start river rafting.  May not be able to guide to many trips this year, have to much to do at the house.   Gotta keep up on the exterior every year, or else.

Thanks for the reminder, "Me and mine" need to put our thinking caps on and come up with something creative...hmmm! Come to think of it, she is in Vegas for business, I am sure she can find something fun somewhere.  Gotta call her!  So are we all getting the white  linen pants, swim suits and the like ready.  I am already packed...in my head , that is...I've already hit the deck a few times...swam a few times and, oh yes, danced all night long.  By the time I get there it will be like deja vu!

By the way, if you are wondering about the name tigeralicea.  Tiger was my Pomeranian who I lost to a bloody coyote in our backyard last March.  Alicea is my middle name.  Our names, for the record, Diane & Joan.  Feel free to yell out tigeralicea when you first see us,  or Happy Lesbians...that will do 'cause I am sure we will be the ones with the wide grin, smiling, laughing , having fun, fun, fun!

I just wanted to thank you for all the tips, do's and dont's, etc.  This is our first cruise and being prepared is so important to us.  I've taken the time to read most of your posts and found them jam packed with useful information.  Again, Thanks!

I took the time out this afternoon to buy some of the meet and greet gifts.  I think I went a little crazy, but found a wide variety of fun novelty gifts.  Some I purchased at "Love Craft"....lol.  Not toooooo naughty though...Just some fun stuff that may make some blush just a little
