Debbie: Can you tell me which time on WED you booked for the extreme family tour zipline ? There are hotel pickup times of 7:00am, 8:25am, 9:55am, 11:25am. I want to make sure we all book for the same time/trip. Thanks!!! Loks like Kathi will be doing the ATV/Jet Ski while I am ziplining.

Hope everyone is doing great!! Getting somethings done here--actually made it to the tanning bed--We're using some high grade bed that is supposed to block the harmful UV rays and not burn ya. We'll see--didn't get burnt but didn't stay in long for the first time. Will go again when I get up today. SHopping is on the agenda this weekend. We're procrastinators so this could be put off until the last minute. I'm impressed with those who have already started packing.. I'm afraid if we got the suitcases out now the cats would freak.--ok so that's a dog but there is no cat!

For those zip lining we booked for Wednesday am--Wendy and Des are going and Lisa and I will be hanging at the resort--it looked like there were quite a few couples that were with one going and one staying--so look for us if your partner has gone off without ya--we can all hang out together..

Hi everyone!  We have some disappointing news to report...I need to cancel our trip as CJ will not be able to get away from work...This is actually a good thing in terms of her business (she is a realtor).  My consolation prize is a promise that we will go to Turks with Olivia in November...Still, I was really looking forward to meeting you all, seeing Debbie and Wendy again, and vacation on the beach.  Good thing we bought the cancel for any reason travel insurance!  Have an absolutely wonderful time!!!  We will be thinking of you.  Rachel (and CJ)

Hi all! We bought a new digital camera last night to replace the one we had. We purchased a Canon Powershot SX100 IS from Best Buy. Only $249.99! 8 Mega Pixels and 10 X optical zoom. It is awesome! We needed more zoom than our last one (only 3x zoom). Highly recommend this one. It isn't that big either.

So, what excursions are everyone doing? We most likely doing Chichen Itza and possibly going into town one day to check it out and go to Senor Frogs!

I definitely cannot zipline, too afraid of heights.....I will do almost anything once but not that...I agree about the lower price of $499.00, it does sucks...for the ocean view...they should up grade the ones who are booked, not liking this at all!!!...

So, Debbie, doing dinner for late comers is great!!!!   I will meet you all by pool side!

Donkeypal mentioned that olivia was offering the special price to the people on the most recent cruise that just got back.  I'm sure that is why...they can offer it as a special to people who are currently on a trip with them.  I know that they do that sometimes on trips as a "special offer" only to "you guys" on this olivia trip.  Heck...it looks like our building is accross from the snorkelling beach and I'm happy with that.  Plus anyone who books last minute like that will be paying a premium for airfare and probably have to make lots of stops...let's hope   Just Kidding...

Woke up yesterday to a foot of snow in Nanaimo!!!  I came close to taking out my cross country skis, saved from my 15 years in Whistler, but they were buried somewhere in the garage.  The sun shone brightly & warmly yesterday afternoon which helped to melt some of the white stuff, but there is still plenty left.  Oh, the poor daffodiles, tulips, etc. are flattened.  Looks like another sunny day coming up today.

Yes, girlfriends, I am ready for Cancun.  I am going a week early to get a-climatized.  Staying @ the Westin Resort and Spa on the beach from May 4 - 10th, before joining you for more fun in the sun at Club Med.  I will be heading home on the 15th as my high school is having a reunion for all the grads that are able to come on the 16th/17th.  Britannia Secondary School is celebrating its' 100 year birthday and I just gotta go.  It will be a hoot to see some of my classmates, including past students from graduating classes before and after my year(1970).  Many past teachers will also attend I am sure.  Yes, it will be an expensive 5 days with Olivia(I wish I got the $499 price!).

Where did you guys here that they had dropped the price to $499? That really sucks for the rest of us who paid full $$$$$$ price. I'm glad for those who can take advantage but still, they should upgrade the rest of us to the better rooms like the OC Gals said. Has anyone called Olivia to see if they are going to do that for people already booked? I'll be glad to call but don't know where the $499 price was listed.

Ok enough, of that --focus on the good stuff--LIKE WE ARE LESS THAN 3 WEEKS AWAY!!!

Hi Everyone!

 I just made my reservation for Cancun today and I am sooo excited! I had been to Columbus Isle and loved it, and I expect this to be fabulous as well. I read the bits on ziplines and such, and wondered if this an olivia excursion? If there are some excursions that seem beter than others, could you all speak up on yourfavorites? I'm single, and would love to be able to get acquainted before the trip. I tend to get shy in groups, wallflower, but watch out once I get comfortable! I'm concerned about the airlines, and the oil issue. I think that the "safety checks" were calculated just at the time when they may not have been able to pay for fuel to run the planes. Seems they have travel insurance now that covers things like that.
