I hope not. If it were October our trip would be over already!

Y'all look cold in those parkas and stuff. Do I need to buy a better winter coat?

Cheers,

Still 7 months away and my partner and I feel like we are already counting the days. Seeing the photos that Janie and Karen posted added even more anticipation. We've been looking over the shore excursions in the HAL information. Hard to decide but then there is still time. We are really looking forward to this trip!

Glad you had a great time.

Thought about you guys all day!! It makes it a long day, thinking about others having fun. Also made me hungry thinking about the menu. Glad the weather held up.

We went on the 2006 Alaska trip and had a wonderful time, both the Olivia cruise and the week we spent on our own in Denali State Park, Seward, Homer and Anchorage. Definitely recommend both to anyone who loves incredible natural surroundings, and great entertainment.

I've picked out about 200 of the 900 photos that we took and put them out on Picasa (a very intuitive photo editing/organizing tool recommended to me by Deidre of Olivia).

I know that we had a bunch of questions before we went and I spent a lot of time researching destination/excursion options. Everyone's experience is different, but I am willing to share what we learned from ours if anyone has questions. We stayed in an inside Lower Promenade room (loved it and spent the $1000 of savings on other fun things.), did most of the shore excursions on our own (had a great time for little extra expense), and did the land tour on our own in a rental car (it was amazing and affordable!).

I won't be checking this forum regularly, but feel free to email us and I'll post responses on here.

You all have a great trip ahead of you. Enjoy!

On Sunday in Fairfield CA, there was a fun lunch meeting of a few members of the NorCal "dam Alaskanauts" tribe. It was really nice to finally get to meet a few of the lovely forum members, Lauren & Cait. Lunch was over far too soon, so we are hoping to be able to do have another meeting of the dam Alaskanauts and continue where we left off in conversation. Funny, even though we'd never met and had exchanged only the barest of descriptions, we all spotted each other sitting in our cars. I guess it takes an Alaskanaut to spot another Alaskanaut, eh? Until next time.....

See you Sunday!
