Hey there Amy!  My wife and I are expats from Texas who have lived in Virginia for more than a decade. 

To answer your question, the trip below is an independent woman-owned tour company that gets really great reviews on TripAdvisor.com and on CruiseCritic.com by people who have recently used them.  The owner of Upachaya Snorkeling is from the States and dropped out of the US corporate world.  Anyway, we should be getting our booking numbers from Olivia this week so that we can unlock what excursions are available for us through HAL.  Hope that helps.  Tina

hey girls this is amy from victoria Texas. Shawn and I are new Olivia travelers. We are very excited!!! We are wondering if you are booking thru Olivia and Holland America or not? I thought it not so safe to book outside tour related companies. Looking forward to feed back.

You guys are too funny!!  I am cracking up thinking about 2 lesbians either sitting in their living room with a mask and snorkle on and swimming in the bathtub while I look out the window and still see 10 foot snow mounds in a parking log lot of Jeffersonville!

Kathyrn - I hear ya!  I'm wondering if I should admit that I sat with my snorkel mask on in the living room last night.  Just had to make sure that the prescription still worked.

Chalky - welcome aboard!   I saw from your profile that you're from Victoria - we love your fair city, home of Emily Carr and Murchie's Tea.  We were married at Sooke Harbour House.  What a beautiful place!

I don't know about scuba in Roatan, but there are probably a lot of options.  The small snorkel tour we're planning on doing in Cozumel also takes out scuba divers to the 3 sites.  The scuba divers are below and the snorkelers are above.  Good luck!

the snorkeling sounds nice but does anyone know of any scuba diving excursions with such nice reefs i would think they would have some.
