Why...dear god...why...IS IT SNOWING?????

I have a history of packing way to many clothes and bringing way too much luggage...however, it sounds like all I need on this trip is a toothbrush and a swim suit....I guess I'll have room in my suitcase for one of you..I'll let you guys figure that one out... 

  

Okay so we are losing our minds here...  We joined this group because we have been to this resort before with Olivia...  We usually do Olivia's May resort but we chose this time to wait and see about November (back to Puerta Vallarta) and eventhough we chose to go back to PV I want someone to pack us in their luggage - WE WILL PAY THE OVERWEIGHT FEE!!!    We know that you ladies will have a great time and to all of those that we have met on all those May Olivia trips we will miss you...

 This is a very, very, very casual resort!  You can bring a toothbrush and  swim suit and you will be fine.  Don't overpack!

Dawn_RI...how much does a bathing suit weigh???

We figure we'll be in bathing suits most of the days so we are taking 2 or 3 each. Shorts? Maybe 4 & plenty of co-ordination with mix & match tops. Then mix & match pants/capris or whatever, for dinner.

We always seem to overpack for cruises but we are really trying to cut back on this trip.

Hey, make sure you come to the Beach Bar at 11 am on Sunday & meet everyone. I belive that most will be wearing leis so you will recognize the ladies that connect on Connect!!!

Omg. Finally only a month to go and we're there. We are thinking about packing now. I'm trying to figure out how I'll manage to stay under the 44 lbs weight limit that bahamas air has posted for domestic flights since my partner & I are flying from Boston to Nassua on Friday(spending the Nite in Nassua) and then taking a flight over to Columbus Isle on Saturday morning via Bahamas Air. This will be very tough. My better-Half has already told me that I don't need to take 30 shirts and 30 Pairs of shorts. Haha. Is anybody spending the night in Nassua?

diannab - I got to ride my motorcycle once this year - we had a few good days, but now it is back to rain/snow mix.  It will not be long before all of us will be out of this stuff and into some nice, sunny weather.  Looking forward to meeting you both.

Now I remember what else I was going to write. Some of you mentioned needing a swim suit. I just got a new Speedo at Costco for $20. Just a one piece for my swim workouts, but I think they had some others also. But of course, Costco stuff goes fast. You may want to check it out.

Hi Ladies - Cait and I haven't checked in for awhile, but thought we should as it is getting closer. So it sounds like we need to get leied before we go right? OK. we can do that. We are so looking forward to this vacation. We were just talking today about how nice it will be to have a break.

Who was it that finally got to ride the motorcycle to work? Cait is still waiting. It's been either too cold or raining here. We are staying at the Courtyard Ft. Lauderdale by the airport Friday night.

OK. I can't remember what other posts were there and I can't go back and check without losing what I've written. Looking forward to meeting everyone. So, do we meet each other at the beach bar at 11:00 on Sunday? Did I remember that right? We will go get some leis, but Cait is easy to spot. Not too many women out there that are 6'2" who are paired with a 5'3" spouse :)

I was trying to figure out how to get Jimmy Buffett to play in the back ground of the blog...I can do it in e-mails...but then I figured I'd be making everyone else as crazy as I am....Can't tell you all how much Chris and I are looking forward to this...Here's the latest countdown

We are flying into Miami on Fri. We will stay one night at the Holiday Inn by the airport. We did not book the charter flight, we booked our own. So, we won't see you all until Sat in the Bahamas. But, we will make up for lost time when we arrive!

Can't wait to see and meet you guys.

Our favorite resort was in 1999 Eleuthera.  Unfortunately, I think a hurricane went thru and destroyed it and I don't know if they ever rebuilt.  Second would be the Turks and Caicos, but honestly, they all have been wonderful.  We have not been to this one before, but friends of ours have, so I am certain, we will all have a wonderful time.

Anybody staying at the Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Airport on Friday May 1st or Saturday May 9th?

So I got a month to find a lei for Kathy and I, hmmmmmm  Party store, here I come, LOL

 

michelle.ang - I found my lei!!!!!!!! Yeah.  What hotel are you staying at?  Some of us are staying at Alhambra, party is poolside at 5 on Friday.

Tanqueray - thanks again for the weather update - we got pounded with snow and sleet this weekend.  Hope it is not coming your way.

coco - What resort was your favorite?  Have you been to this one before?

I LOVE Jimmy Buffett and he's always good for a Lei...ROFL.......I crack myself up.....time for me to go shopping for that bigger swim suit.....this is our second resort with Olivia; Cancun was great..Can't wait to see you all soon.

 Been awhile see I have been on here, BUT since it is now only a month away, thought I would check in and see what everyone is saying............so weather is looking good there, bring bug spray and sunscreen, and I am supposed to wear a boa so I can get leid, did I get that right?  LOL

 Peg And Kathy,  I can tell you that this is our 8th trip with Olivia and only one of them was a cruise, WE LOVE THE RESORTS!
