We owe tribute to those who lived in a different era and could not, would not, dare not, be as open and free as Olivia permits and enourages us to be. Many of these women loved less openly, but step-by-step helped to pave the way to greater power for, and acceptance of, women as both significant individual contributors and partners in each others lives. This is a quote from one woman I would have so enjoyed meeting and knowing:
