I'm 100% in support of this improvement-- this sounds like an easy fix to me.

I think you should be able to choose your font and have it lock in until you decide to change it up.

That's what I'm rooting for! Geeked

Happy Friday!!!

WOW, I really like that previuous font!!  And for someone almost 60-- that means alot.  Still, I am having trouble connecting.  Really liked the OLD site much better.  And as Barb said, I needed to change my password, and now I have one with numbers and letters.  I guess I have to go to my account (if I can find that) to get a new one and hope I don't have to change it again!

pgh jean     I do like the neat things you can do here tho- smileys, colors etc.

Jeri, if there a way to make the default font a 12 pt. instead of a 10 pt.?   Seems to be a number of people requesting it.  Sure would be a little easier on the eyes, especially for the vision impaired and/or over 50 crowd!

I'm sure you can appreciate how much easier it is to read this than that last paragraph!

Thanks, Jeri!

So far I like it.  I used Forum when I was getting ready to go and returned from a cruise, basically because I thought that was it's primary function (and I'm still a little wary of communicating online).  So I got away from Forum.

In fact, I'm not totally sure how I even found "Connect", except I probably linked from Olivia.com.  I'm glad I did.  And I have every confidence that Olivia will make this site exactly what we want, as much as you can "please all the people".  Way to go and keep it up.

Ok, I have made it finally to a place to post. I have been lost for about 30 min. Anyway, when I finally got here to read something I couldn't read it. I don't wear reading glasses, partly because I am only 35, but I may have to start if the font can't be changed. Please consider making the font bigger. Also, do you have to hit the reply button of an exisiting post to post something or is there a button to make a new topic. I couldn't find one but I could be missing it with this small font.
Thanks,
Tami

Okay, so I had not had a cup of coffee yet. . . I just figured out that I go to My Account to change my password and also that I can click on CONNECT to get back to the original page.  Mea culpa.

Questions
03/13/2007, 4:24 AM

Jeri,  no matter how often or when I log on or off to this site, the page where it says I have messages still says my last log on was January 15th.

Also once I leave that initial page that comes up after log on, how do I get back to it?  Once I wander off to come to this group or to read a message, I don't seem to be able to figure out how to get back to that first page.  Am I missing something?

Seems too, that if I don't log out for days (but just leave and come back to this site several times over the course of a few days to a week) and then log out, I lose my password.  It doesn't work the next time I log in and I have to go through the whole process of getting a new one via email.  And by then, I forget how and where I need to go to set up another easily remembered one.

Can a FAQ section be added to this site quickly to help cover some of these really basic questions that many people have been asking each other or you?

Thanks!

Barbara

Hi Everyone,

We've got control over when the existing Forum will close so please do not worry - we can even keep it around for a period of time after it closes were we'll be able to use it for reference.

We are committed to working through the issues you are are bringing to our attention.

Keep your feedback coming ...

Jeri, I can't speak for others but I think that what everyone is asking for is assurance that you don't cut off the original forum until the BETTER site is is totally in place & maybe then integrating the current into the new or providing an equivalent. Also that the valuable information & features are not lost from it's current format. No doubt the user friendliness aspect will be dealt with by experience of both the users & the developers. The general concensus appears to be that it needs significant improvement.

I'm sure that Olivia has invested significant $$$'s & time into this project & I certainly appreciate that. Olivia's determination to continually improve quality not only on actual vacations but in these many other side benefits that we enjoy is admirable.

Thankyou for listening & for passing on our feedback. We sure appreciate it.

Hello!

Please know that I'll be sending all of this feedback directly to the people who have the ability to address it head on. We will do everything in out power to make this site BETTER than the Forum we so know and love.

Please hang in there and give this a chance to evolve into all the things you are asking for! Those things will happen.

Thanks,

Jeri

I'm finding navigating through Olivia connect has been pretty straight forward although I am with Cloesmum about having saved messages in my inbox.  I recently sent an email and wanted to reference it and it wasn't there.

Also, I think alerts on the home page beside each group (when there is a new posting or comment)  would be useful to have members check the threads.

I have to agree with chloesmum, It is very difficult to navigate this site.  The only reason I knew this topic was here is because I received an email from the person posting.  On the forum I was able to read all the postings and be involved which made it fun and I was able to make new connections with old friends as well as make new friends.  I have sent out invitations to ladies not on the forum.  Some have accepted but are not listed in my friend column.  Just a thought, you did great with the forum why not use that as a template for connections which don't make any connections by the way.
