Anybody taking Amtrak to Vancouver B.C.?

Hey Marcia…thanks for posting the link!

we just now purchased 2 business class seats on the 510 Amtrak train

for Saturday Sept 15…leaving Seattle @ 7:40 am & arriving in Vancouver BC @ 11:40 am

We love the leisurely ride…it goes up the coast…and if the weathers good it's beautiful!

And unless things have changed since last year...it's the easist/fastest way through customs!!

be sure to get to the train station early to be able to get a good seat assignment…you'll want to sit on the left side as you're facing forward

Sleddog suggests to make sure you are actually booking the TRAIN b/c the schedule while booking tickets also has the buses listed! So be sure to pick the morning train to Vancouver...

My wife, Abbi, and I are flying to Seattle on Friday 9/14. We plan on taking the train to Vancouver Saturday morning... There are a few other ladies who are also planning on doing this... "Sleddog" has done this several times before - so I am sure when she checks back in she can give you any info you might need or answer any questions you might have! She and her partner are doing it again this year too...

Looking forward to it! We can start the party early on the train together! LOL

We are flying into Seattle and will be taking Amtrak from there to Vancouver. I have heard that there is some beautiful scenery besides the fact that it is cheaper than flying into Vancouver.

Haven't taken this train but have read good reviews. I have done the auto train to Florida and it was great!! Loved the good folks of Amtrak!

Airfare is crazy and we're not that far from B.C.  has anyone ever taken Amtrak or have plans to?

My partner and I are thinking of doing that instead of flying. . .  any insight from anyone w/b appreciated.

We'll be boarding from PDX. . .
