Me too, JoanandJeri!  I'm assuming that most days I'll just be lounging in my suit and board shirts...this thought has helped me not to overpack (i think!). Is that what you found usually happens??

ok, the bags are almost packed.  it is so hard not to overpack!  "options" are always a good thing,,,,

 we got a few more board shorts today.  can't have too many suits or shorts~!

it won't be long now!!!!!

I can't even imagine doing the entire 'not checking a bag thing'.  But then again I am notorious for packing way to much. But I am one of those girls that have to have 'options of things to wear'.  Oh well.. 

 I did seriously start 'gathering' things tonight and trying not scale back.

 

Only 6 more days of work!  I cannot wait!

 

Hword, Love the I heart Jerusalem story.   I totally agree w/ you about keeping carry on in sight and also its easier to get in and out between flights that way for me personally.  I did the whole backpack to europe thing w/ one backpack for a month so thats where I learned!    I might see if I can get away w/ a squished duffle bag and squishd backpack...but I usu bring my computer so thats my personal item..although i HAVE learned that many things will fit in the laptop bag too like books :)   but prob I ll be the one at the airport in the backpack, sombrero and flipflops tied on the side. :)   Oh and the "Olivia women gather here" flag waving....

Hey Equiger, I'm taking a small suitcase as carry on and a backpack for 'personal item' carry on...that's my normal flight routine.  I've had 3 experiences of airlines (three different airlines to be exact) of loosing my luggage.  I have yet to see my suitcase from Tel Aviv...and that was years ago lol!  I came home with 8 "I 'heart' Jerusalem" t-shirts...which ended up being my regular attire while on tour over there LOL!

As they say....lesson learned & now I never check baggage.

 I know SPIRIT airlines charges for a carry on....I'm taking them to Miami in July...but the flight is still cheaper than other airlines

hword, what are you taking for carryon, a backpack?  I have been taking a backpack for ALL the trips, it IS doable if you arent going formal or anything. the only bad surprise was one of the airlines I booked CHARGES for carryon as well as everything else...a lot of times even checked luggage used to be free on internatl flights....so...be sure you check your airline policies everyone.    

 

 

so i bought a pair of water shoes today because of everyones advice, oh and a pair of ' sand' flip flops. So for the sake of my personal 'no checked baggage' policy please please please don't give me any more ideas about shoes or clothes lol!  i'm on the second round of unpacking and repacking...by the time i'm done i should be a pro tho!!! ;)

Here's how I envision the path of the passports to the underwear drawer....

After our last trip, passports and things may have been lying on the bed, then somebody may have been sorting her clean laundry on top of the passports, then may have scooped them up and put them in her underwear drawer....

Because we seem to do a few Olivia vacations, I have been hanging our passports on the lamp by the bed. I look at them all the time. In plain sight is best for me, lol

I looked for my passport last night too. I see to misplace that every time I go on an Olivia trip. Got it!! :)

 

Joan and Jeri--so glad you found them!!!  Thanks for the inspiration...we took out our passports yesterday, just to be sure we actually knew where they were. 

OMG! Joan&Jeri, sounds like a nightmare we have all had at one time or another. But thanks for the reminder. Dug my passport out of file drawer. But that's all I have ready thus far. I am a last minute packer too.

Carrie and I went through our clothes yesterday. Now to go through them again and put away some. And then probably put more away after that. We always overpack. 

Joan and jeri, what a story!    Must have been a late night unpacking from your last trip or some excitement one night that involved rummaging in the underwear drawer...you should check it more often, might find more surprises :)
